January 24 2014 - Hot Top Ten

CENTREFOLDS - FASHION
Hooky indie pop from the Bristol four-some. Title track from the EP out February 9 on Circus City Records. Year more at the launch gig at The Slug and Lettuce, Bristol on February 7.

I BREAK HORSES - DENIAL
Electro touch from Sweden's Maria Lindén. Taken from the new album 'Chiaroscuro' which was released this week on Bella Union.

PATTERNS - OUR EGO
Second single from the Manchester quartet's debut album 'Waking Lines'. Dreamy hazy stuff that blesses the ears.

MOSES GOLD - VISIONS
Unveiled this Wednesday, a powerfully haunting new track from the former Stay + member.

POPPY'S FIELD - MEANT TO BE
London based urban/folk/pop crossover artist from Whitechapel, London. He has just released the single 'Cemetery To Lie', but this perhaps has the catchier hooks and melody.

THE SEA - GET UP STAND UP DIE
Latest single, released this week, from brothers Peter and Alex Chisholm. Formed in 2007, their chequered career gas include Alex's serious surfing accident in 2010, then in 2012 their van was destroyed in horrific crash in Belgium, though both emerged unscathed. Now back on track.

HOLY ESQUE - SILENCES
New single - out February 10 - from the four-piece who formed whilst at Glasgow School Of Art in 2011. Catch them on home turf when they play Nice'N'Sleazy on January 31 and London's Shacklewell Arms on March 7.

LOST LEGIONS - POMPEII
Four-piece indie rock outfit hailing from Jarrow/South Shields, with some sharp riffs. They have appeared in Front magazine - but don't hold that against them.

APOLLO JUNCTION - DAYLIGHT
Indie electro five-piece with a 90s influence from Leeds/London. Formed in 2012 and who we introduced back in March last year here

WHITE ROYAL - FALSE WIDOW
Three-piece from Yorkshire who we introduced back in early December, return with another simple, yet effective track, melding a electronic backdrop with layered, ethereal vocals.
