Introducing :: Beta Waves

A week of new music without a Scottish offering is like a cooked breakfast without a generous serving of bacon and heartburn. Look out the Gaviscon, because this week is no different.

Dundee ambient electro two-piece Dale Easson and Harry Crossan, known collectively as Beta Waves, have crept onto the scene with a liquorice tea and cheese before bed infused psychedelic dream of a track in the shape of ‘Let It Out.’



Cleverly and rather uncharacteristically for the genre, the track - the follow up to debut, 'I Think I'm Melting' released in January - clocks in at under three minutes, giving plenty time to reflect on the listen and leaving established fans of the sound craving more. It also opens the old rusty doors, lights a candle and gives a whistle stop guided tour of the electronic psych scene to a new audience in the form of the iPod generation who are still busy chewing their way through Tame Impala’s 'Currents'.
